From now on, it is necessary to additionally submit an energy certificate for construction projects

At a meeting on March 7, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made changes to the Procedure for consideration, approval and implementation of targeted environmental (green) investment projects and proposals for the implementation of measures related to the implementation of such projects and the fulfillment of the obligations of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention about climate change.

The representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk reported about it on Telegram.

He explained that the changes clarify the list of documents submitted by applicants for the implementation of targeted green investment projects. IN from now on, it is necessary to additionally submit an energy certificate for construction projects:

  • new construction;
  • reconstruction;
  • restoration;
  • capital repair of objects and complexes.

It is noted that during the selection of projects, priority will be given to those that involve the simultaneous modernization of heat supply systems. This will help to reduce the consumption of fuel, electricity and technical water, i.e. their economical use.

Earlier, EcoPolitic reported, that the Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Hagu discussed cooperation in the field of development of green investments.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in October 2022, the Energy Efficiency Fund launched a grant program for condominiums to cover 100% of the cost of restoration of war-damaged buildings.
