The city will continue the information campaign on composting waste for fertilizers

In Vinnytsia, inspectors will check compliance with city beautification rules to prevent the burning of vegetation and garbage. Violators will be punished with fines.

This was reported by the press service of the Vinnytsia City Council.

Eight mobile groups of inspectors from the Municipal Guard have been created in the Vinnytsia territorial community to effectively combat the burning of garbage.

Experts note that if a violation is detected, inspectors will draw up an administrative report in accordance with Article 152 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Individuals who violate the rules face a fine of between 340 and 1,360 hryvnia.

"Our mobile groups will patrol the community daily to prevent the burning of dry grass or garbage. We pay the most attention to the private sector, where people usually try to burn waste after cleaning their plots. If inspectors find even the remains of a fire, this is already grounds for holding the owner of the house accountable," said Vitaliy Chigur, director of the Municipal Guard.

Groups of inspectors will monitor arson from September 2 to October 31. The city is also continuing its campaign for the safe disposal of plant residues and composting.

Vinnytsia residents will also have the opportunity to deliver up to two cubic meters of chopped branches and up to three bags of leaves to the municipal waste management center. This will help preserve the environment and improve soil fertility.

As EcoPolitics noted earlier, specialists from the municipal waste management center “Clean Lutsk” shared tips on how to properly compost organic waste and what benefits can be gained from it.
