The first Ukrainian wind turbine blade was created in Zakarpattia. The work was carried out by a domestic company, which indicates the creation of a full cycle of domestic production of wind turbines.
This was announced by the deputy head of the President's Office, Viktor Mykyta.
The blade is now ready for installation and energy generation. The 75-metre-long, 25-tonne product was manufactured by Friendly Wind Technology LLC. The project was implemented by Ukrainian professionals using modern high-tech equipment and world-class materials.
"This event marks Ukraine's completion of a full domestic wind turbine production cycle and its ability to independently meet the country's domestic needs in this equipment segment. This is a step towards energy independence in the future," Viktor Mykyta emphasised.

The blade was ceremoniously marked with “Made in Ukraine.” The event is being called significant, especially given the difficult situation in the country. Wind energy is considered particularly promising for developing a network of distributed generation, which is vital under conditions of enemy attacks on the energy system.
EcoPolitic previously reported that in 2025 Ukraine increased its wind generation capacity by 324 MW. This is more than in the first three years of the full-scale war.
The state aims to increase the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the overall energy balance to 27% as early as 2030.
