Experts talk about possible non-transparent agreements

The winner of the tender for the purchase of fuel from the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" worth more than UAH 1 billion was the little-known "Carpathian Fuel Company", which offered the highest price among all participants – UAH 48.24 per liter of diesel fuel.

This was reported by the StopCor portal.

Journalists said that according to Opendatabot, this winning company is a newcomer to the market. It has minimal experience: this year it imported only 300 tons of gasoline.

"However, thanks to the right acquaintances and contracts with state structures, the firm became the winner of a large-scale tender," says StopCor.

Other tender participants were Lux Krania LLC and Ukrnafta PJSC. They were disqualified for minor mistakes. So, the first company lost the chance to compete for the contract due to an arithmetic error of 1 (!!!) kopeck, and the second – due to inconsistency of certificates.

Journalists of the portal reminded that "Carpathian Fuel Company" is not the first time successfully participating in public procurement, where it wins despite the competition. According to experts, this may indicate opaque agreements.

Earlier, EcoPolitic reported about accusations from journalists to the address of the chief forester of Volyn, Oleksandr Kvatyrka, in frauds with the lands of forest farms. We also talked about the illegal scheme of making money from wood in Transcarpathia. According to the investigators, her organized by the director Yaroslav Oliynyk of the Berehiv forest farm.
