Applications can be submitted by July 31st.

The European Commission has opened the acceptance of competitive applications for participation in the Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine Program in the "Environment" direction.

The total funding of the Program is €56.2 million, the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the initiative is designed to continue cross-border cooperation between Poland and Ukraine, strengthen ties between organizations and residents of border areas, as well as develop the territories covered by cooperation.

The message emphasized that the application for participation can be sent until July 31, 2023. For potential participants in Ukraine, 6 trainings will also be held in the following regions:

  • Volyn;
  • Lviv;
  • Transcarpathia;
  • Rivne;
  • Ternopil;
  • Ivano-Frankivsk.

Information about the date and registration will be published on the Program website.

It is noted that the total funding for the program is €187.4 million. It will cover the following areas:

  • Environment – €56.2 million;
  • Health – €47.7 million;
  • Tourism – €42.6 million;
  • Cooperation – €15.3 million;
  • Borders – €8.5 million

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Ukrainians will be able to take part in the competition of environmental business solutions ClimateLaunchpad. Applications in English can be submitted until June 20, 2023.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in January 2023, the Ukrainian delegation presented 12 eco-startups at the world's largest annual consumer technology exhibition Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA.
