The Ukrainian delegation presented 12 environmental start-ups at the world's largest annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA.

Some of these unique projects will help save the planet and the country, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources reports on Facebook.

The report noted that about 3,200 companies took part in the exhibition, about half of which were from the USA. Only Russian companies were not allowed to the event.

Among other startups in the Ukrainian pavilion were:

  • Releaf PAPER & BAGS is the world's first manufacturer of paper packaging from fallen leaves.

The message emphasized that thanks to this technology, 78% less carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere compared to the traditional production of cellulose paper. And every ton of sheet paper saves 17 trees from being cut down.

  • Rekava is a brand that creates biodegradable cups from recycled coffee grounds.

The authors said that after the outbreak of full-scale war, Rekava began making scented candles in used containers of ground coffee. The fragrances are dedicated to Ukrainian cities. So, for example, Lviv candles have a coffee aroma, Crimean candles have a grape aroma, and Kherson candles have a watermelon aroma.

  • Melt Water Club is a technical solution for obtaining premium drinking water thanks to the innovative Freezing Process technology.

It is noted that the technology allows for a 5-fold reduction in the use of fresh water and a 9-fold reduction in electricity consumption during production.

  • OptySun filters are water purification and disinfection technology in any conditions.

The press service emphasized that such special filters can work from solar panels and other sources of electricity. One filter provides 5 daily portions of water every 30 minutes.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, e co-activists of the public association "Ukraine without garbage" prepared TOP-5 startups of Ukrainians, who, despite the war, continue to fight for the preservation of the planet.
