Verkhovna Rada Environmental Committee to hold a meeting on February 12: agenda

People's deputies must submit proposals to draft law No. 10135-d "On the restoration of the Kakhov reservoir"

On Monday, February 12, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will hold a meeting via videoconference at 15:00.

EcoPolitic has prepared the committee's agenda for its readers.

The MPs will consider the draft law No. 10409 "On clarifying the powers of the central executive body implementing the state policy in the field of civil protection and other state bodies in the field of critical infrastructure protection", for which the committee has been designated as the lead body.

The ecological committee should also submit its proposals to:

  • Draft Law No. 10135-d "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Creation of Conditions for the Restoration of the Kakhov Reservoir";
  • Draft Law No. 10433 "On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the Protection of Aquatic Bioresources and Their Environment".

In addition, people's deputies will consider presentation of the Strategy for the Development of Territories in the Exclusion Zone and the Zone of Unconditional (Mandatory) Resettlement for 2024-2032, approved by Cabinet of Ministers Order No. 49 of January 23, 2024.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis draft law No. 9456 "On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine regarding customs clearance of biomethane", which is designed to unblock the export of biogas to the EU.
