People's deputies will consider the report on problematic issues in the forest industry

On Wednesday, March 1, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 11:00 a.m.

EcoPolitic has prepared the agenda of the committee for its readers.

People's deputies will consider draft law No. 6203 "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding improvement of state supervision (control) in the field of man-made and fire safety" (second reading), for which the ecocommittee is designated as the main committee.

In addition, the committee should submit its proposals to:

  • Draft Law No. 9020 "On amendments to certain legislative acts regarding licensing of drilling activities and the use of wells for the extraction of groundwater";
  • Draft Law No. 9021 "On amendments to the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses regarding establishing liability for illegal activities of drilling and using wells for extraction of groundwater";
  • Draft Law No. 9016 "On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the safe transportation of animals in vehicles."

People's deputies will also consider the following reports:

  • the head of the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine, Yury Bolokhovets, according to the results of work in 2022;
  • management of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine and the head of the State Specialized Economic Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" Igor Lytsur regarding problematic issues in the forestry sector and the analysis of the practice of applying legislative acts in this area in accordance with the first clause of the first part of Article 14 of the Law of Ukraine "On Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the second reading and as a whole the government draft law No. 6478 "On sewage disposal of populated areas".
