People's deputies will consider two draft laws regarding which the ecocommittee is designated as the main one.

On Wednesday, July 19, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 11:00 a.m.

EcoPolitic prepared for its readers the agenda of the committee.

People's deputies will consider draft law No. 6004-d "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health" (second reading), for which the ecocommittee is designated as the main one. Document involves modernization of all existing industrial facilities and reform in the field of industrial pollution.

In addition, the People's Deputies will consider draft law No. 9358 "About making changes to some legislative acts of Ukraine on ensuring the safety of citizens in the conditions of martial law" regarding which the ecocommittee is also designated as the main one.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that head of the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management Oleg Bondarenko explained that the draft law "On Industrial Pollution" provides for a 12-year period for modernization of all existing industrial facilities, as well as the introduction of the best available European technologies and management methods in industry (NDTM).

As EcoPolitic previously reported, on May 29, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading draft law No. 6004-d "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health", despite widespread criticism from the public.
