According to experts, draft law No. 7327 contains a number of negative norms and needs to be revised

On Tuesday, September 13, the EcoCommittee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt based on the first reading of draft law No. 7327 "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the state system of environmental monitoring, information on the state of the environment (ecological information) and information support for management in the field of the environment".

On July 8, the Verkhovna Rada rejected and sent the document for a second first reading, reports Energy under the dome on Telegram.

According to experts from Energy Under the Dome, draft law No. 7327 needs to be revised, because contains a number of negative norms.

In addition, the deputies recommended that the Parliament adopt draft law No. 5159 as a basis and as a whole in the second reading "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the introduction of liability for violation of the procedure for carrying out a strategic environmental assessment". Energy under the dome believes that the document is negative for the energy industry.

The meeting also decided to recommend:

  • To the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ukraine's EU Integration to support draft law No. 0167 on the ratification of the Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on Ukraine's participation in the EU LIFE Program – Environmental and Climate Action Program in order to ratify the agreement;
  • The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy to support as a basis, taking into account the conclusion approved by the Committee, draft law No. 7072 "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding state support for the development of production and processing of livestock products." The document is aimed at improving the existing model.

Also, the Main Profile Committee withdrew from consideration draft law No. 7641 "On amendments to the Budget code of Ukraine on the creation of the state fisheries development fund." The document provides for the creation of the development fund as part of a special fund of the state budget at the expense of funds received from the realization of the right to use aquatic biological resources through the introduction of auctions.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the EBA criticized draft law No. 7327 on the state environmental monitoring system for the alleged transfer of responsibilities for the implementation of state environmental monitoring to business.
