The EcoCommittee issued an opinion on the new draft law "On industrial pollution"

The People's Deputies are recommended to adopt the revised document in the first reading

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management at its meeting on Wednesday, January 25, recommended that the Parliament adopt in the first reading as a basis consolidated draft law No. 6004-d "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health".

The Ecocommittee also recommended that the Verkhovna Rada take into account comments on the sounding when considering the document for the second reading, reports "Energy under the dome" on Telegram.

The message noted that the People's Deputies also considered the documents to which the committee had to submit its proposals and recommended:

  • the Committee on agrarian and land policy to support as a basis, taking into account the conclusion of the Eco-Committee, draft law No. 8290 "On improvement of state regulation of food safety and development of animal husbandry";
  • the Committee on humanitarian and information policy to support as a basis, taking into account the conclusion of the Eco-Committee, draft law No. 8319 "On declaration of the natural territories of the city of Morshyn, Morshyn and Nyniv deposits of mineral healing brines of the Lviv region as a resort of state importance ";
  • to support the Committee on Ukraine's EU Integration on the basis of Resolution No. 8337 " on the Appeal of the Parliament to the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the EU, the WTO, governments and parliaments of foreign countries";
  • the Committee on foreign policy and interparliamentary cooperation to recommend to the Parliament to support on the basis of Resolution No. 8338 "On the appeal of the Parliament to the UN, the European Parliament, the PACE, the NATO PA, the OSCE PA, the GUAM PA, the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Associations of the States of Southeast Asia, and the national parliaments of the countries of the world" .

The authors said that the ecocommittee also confirmed staff list of the staff of the National Commission for Radiation Protection of the Population of Ukraine and the report on the status of the implementation of the Plan of legislative work of the Parliament for 2022. In addition, the People's Deputies included People's Deputy Oleksandr Matusevych in the working group on the development of legislative initiatives regarding environmental impact assessment in the forestry industry.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that at the meeting of the EcoCommittee on January 25, the People's Deputies have to consider 4 draft laws on industrial pollution.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the team of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources together with Ukrainian and international experts is preparing alternative draft law on the prevention of industrial pollution.
