In Ukraine, from Saturday, February 25, the program to exchange old incandescent lamps for new LED lamps will be extended to all villages.
Since the beginning of the exchange, since January 30, Ukrainians have applied for more than 3.5 million lamps through the Diya mobile application, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation reports.
It is noted that at the previous stages, lamps were exchanged in all cities and towns of the urban type, except for temporarily occupied territories. Lamps can be exchanged at Ukrposhta branches.
"Ukrainians have already exchanged millions of lamps, thereby reducing electricity consumption," the press service emphasized.
In the message, it was emphasized that residents of the front-line villages of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Kharkiv and Zaporizhia regions will be able to use the service. For the villages, 6.6 million LED lamps were delivered to the "Ukrposhta" branch.
"Residents of villages where automated branches of Ukrposhta operate will be able to submit an application through Diya." In other settlements, it will be possible to get energy-saving lamps without a prior order in the application," the press service said.
To submit an application through "Diya" you need:
- log in to "Diya";
- choose services – "Light bulb exchange";
- specify the contact phone number and convenient branch of "Ukrposhta";
- specify the type and quantity of LED lamps you wish to receive.
In the message, it was explained that if the list of settlements does not include what you need, you can contact the "Ukrposhta" branch directly with your passport, tax number and lamps for exchange.
It is noted that the exchange is carried out under a joint program of the Government of Ukraine and the European Union.
As EcoPolitic reported earlier, under the program of exchanging incandescent lamps for energy-efficient ones you can get lamps with two types of base, namely E27 (27 mm x 27 mm) and E14 (14 mm x 26 mm).
