According to the number of uploaded works, Ukraine took 2nd place among 57 countries and territories that participated in the competition

Photographs from 10 different regions of Ukraine made it to the top 10 images of Ukrainian nature in the annual Wiki Loves Earth competition in 2024.

So, the 10 most successful photos of Ukrainian nature in 2024 were taken in the following regions:

  • Odesa region – Tarutino Steppe landscape reserve;wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Lvivska – Sarmatian age Honeysuckle in the vicinity of Pidkamin village;wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Cherkasy – landscape reserve "Tarasiv obryi";wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Chernihivska – reserve "Yalivshchyna";wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Transcarpathian – Svydovetsky reserve massif;wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Chernivtsi – Shyshkovi pogorby;wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Ivano-Frankivsk – Nadvirnyan rocks;wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Ternopilsk – Chistyliv Ornithological Reserve;wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Zhytomyrska – Baranivsky reserve;wikilovesearth.org.ua
  • Khersonsk – reserve "Askania-Nova" (in the header photo).

These 10 photos, as well as 5 additional ones, presented Ukraine at the international stage of the competition. In total, 106 participants uploaded 6437 photos of protected objects of Ukraine.
