Last year, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NEURC) issued 14.9 million guarantees of origin for electricity from renewable sources, corresponding to 14,896,997 MWh of "green" generation.
The national regulator announced this on its website.
In total, since the launch of the Registry of Guarantees of Origin in August 2024, over 21 million such guarantees have been issued in Ukraine. Monthly volumes ranged from 0.5 to 1.7 million. The highest figures were recorded during the summer months.

The NEURC noted that the Registry continues to expand: last year, approximately 90 new renewable energy facilities were added. By the end of 2025, their total number had reached 1,510 facilities.
The national regulator is also working on connecting to the AIB-HUB and analyzing the system’s compliance with European standards. Ukraine has already legislated the recognition of guarantees issued in EU countries and the Energy Community.
Recently, EcoPolitic reported that last year, 11% of total electricity generation in Ukraine came from "green" energy. Taking into account the newly installed facilities, the share of renewable energy generation capacity in distributed generation has risen to 20.4%.
