Residents have been doing this business that is good for the environment and the wallet for 5 years

In 2024, the Pivdennyi Kvartal condominium in the town of Vyshneve near Kyiv earned UAH 7666 from the sale of recyclable materials.

This was reported by Lyudmyla Skamrova, a board member of the association, on Facebook.

She said that the residents shipped recyclables 6 times during the year.

Its total weight was almost 3 tons – 2925 kg.

Liudmyla says that with the money they earned, the condominium installed 2 more composter sections and purchased azure paint to paint the old composters that were installed in 2021-2022.

Waste such as tin cans and old boilers are collected by residents and handed over to volunteers to make trench candles and burritos.

According to Ludmila, who was the initiator of the installation of composters, now the condominiums are collecting funds for the improvement of the territory next to these devices.
