In Dnipro, members of the Geneva Dnipro condominium association took part in the state Grindim program and used grant funds to install a solar power plant (SPP) with related equipment on the roof of their building.

This was reported by the Energy Efficiency Fund.

The twelve-storey building with 4 entrances was equipped with a SPP with a capacity of 84.2 kW, a 96 kW inverter, and batteries with a capacity of 102.4 kWh.

The implementation of this project made it possible to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all critical systems of the building, including work:

  • 4 elevators;
  • video surveillance systems;
  • pump group;
  • lighting in public areas;
  • intercom systems;
  • barrier and other equipment.

The main indicators of the "Geneva Dnipro" condominium project:

  • The total cost of the project is UAH 4 million, of which UAH 2 million is a grant from the Energy Efficiency Fund.
  • The cost of works for one apartment (area – 60 m²) is about 6 thousand. UAH

Projected savings:

  • Annual cost savings for the electricity needs of the entire building — 434,000. UAH
  • Annual energy savings for the needs of the entire house — 100.47 thousand. kWh/year.

Earlier, EcoPolitic talked about what Ukrainian mobile operators are testing their solar power plants and shared the results of pilot projects.
