COP29 opens in Baku: what does the Ukrainian pavilion look like

This year it is dedicated to the theme of joint efforts that grow into big changes

The main material of the Ukrainian pavilion at COP29 was domestic ecological paper with living seeds of various herbs. 50 key environmental initiatives of the state, business and public of Ukraine were placed on it.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine showed on its pages in social networks what the site of our state looks like at this large-scale conference.

The artist Oleksandra Zhumailova created an image with an area of ​​more than 120 square meters on eco-paper. They contain 50 key environmental initiatives of the state, representatives of Ukrainian business and society. Among them:

  • technologies of digitized agriculture;
  • developments in the field of renewable energy and demining;
  • startups creating paper from fallen leaves;
  • carbon dioxide traps;
  • an ecological alternative to foam plastic;
  • mobile printer factories;
  • other Ukrainian innovations already used in the USA, Great Britain and Japan.

The Ministry of Environment said that when creating the pavilion, emphasis was placed on the main principle of restoration – "build back greener" ("build back greener than it was"), as well as on the need to compensate for the damage caused to the environment due to Russia's aggression.

The ministry informed that the concept of the Ukrainian pavilion was developed by Gres Todorchuk agency.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as well as Ukrainian and foreign partners: DTEK, Kernel, the UN Development Program, SaveDnipro, EOPA and others also worked on the creation of the platform.
