5 Ukrainian organizations involved in animal rescue received UAH 1 million from our athlete Yaroslava Maguchih.

This was announced by the animal protection organization UAnimals on Instagram.

The champion gave the Ukrainian four-legged defenders part of the prize money she received for the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. In addition to UAnimals, 4 animal shelters received a generous donation from the athlete:

  • "Pegasus";
  • "Sumy Animal Protection Society";
  • "Homeless world";
  • "Dnipro Animals".

The head of the UAnimals communications department, Lyudmila Smolyar, thanked Yaroslav for her willingness to speak about animal protection and draw the attention of a large audience to this issue, as well as her good deed, "thanks to which thousands of animals will receive medicine, food, and their own warm place to sleep."

"We dream that one day helping animals will become a common and everyday thing in Ukrainian society, and it is such powerful voices as the voice of Yaroslava Maguchykh that bring this moment closer," she expressed hope.

The titled Ukrainian jumper said that her cat is also from a shelter and is also purebred.

"But he is the best in the world and my favorite jumper. So if you have an opportunity to save an animal, save it!" she urged.
