The problem has reached such a scale that even the pseudo-head of the city had to admit it

The occupiers in Mariupol, instead of the central sewage system, collectors, use ordinary septic tanks (local treatment plants), so sewage enters the city streets, rivers and the Sea of Azov.

This was told by the deputy of the Mariupol city council Dmitry Zabavin in the ether of the Espresso TV channel.

According to him, sewage is filled the whole city. Residents of Mariupol are increasingly complaining about gusts of sewage in different parts of the occupied city. According to people, because of ignoring the problem by the invaders, the houses are flooded with waste, "sewer rivers" are already flowing through the streets and "lakes from drains" are formed.

"Recently, the people of Mariupol published that even in the vaunted new buildings of the so-called Nevsky residential complex, excuse me, all those residential complexes were flooded with Russian crap once again, that is, it's not the first time," the deputy said.

He claims that the occupiers keep hidden statistics of what is happening, but of course this information is not published, but the situation is catastrophic. Vibrio cholerae has been recorded in the sea and rivers of the city, and doctors expect an outbreak of infections.

"As for Mariupol beaches, there was information from the beginning of summer that the beaches were closed, but there are isolated cases. The situation is such that the sea water does not meet any standards that can be, because not only sewage flows into the Sea of Azov, but also the occupiers pollute the sea with various waste. And those Russians who, apparently, are used to complete unsanitary conditions, talk about the beach season," Dmytro Zabavin summarized.

Residents of Zelinsky Street complain that the occupiers have been ignoring people's requests for weeks. And near school No. 68 on the Left Bank, a real "sewage lake" has formed.

"There's just nothing to breathe! Nobody cares about it, complaints don't help. This lake has been standing for more than a month!" – outraged residents.

At the beginning of May, EcoPolitic wrote about ecological collapse, to which Mariupol was brought by the occupation authorities. We talked about the fact that there are garbage dumps in all areas of the city, and sewage flows into the Sea of Azov without any treatment.
