Specialists from the Clean Lutsk Waste Management Center warned city residents and asked them to avoid common mistakes when sorting glass waste.
They shared this useful information on their Facebook page.
Experts noted that ONLY clear glass should be thrown into the container labeled "Transparent Glass", as it is very important for the proper recycling of materials.

"Remember that not everything that looks like glass really is glass!" – they reminded.
Specialists provided a list of materials that do NOT belong to glass. It:
- crystal;
- porcelain;
- impact-resistant and heat-resistant glass;
- reinforced glass, automotive, mirrors, thermoses.

They also urged to carefully read the information plates or ask a consultant if you are unsure about the correct sorting. Experts said that once the broken porcelain is in the container for clear glass, its contents become garbage, not recyclable. The recycler may refuse such waste, and all efforts to sort and recycle the waste will be wasted.
"Let's be responsible and help preserve our resources," urged Chisty Lutsk.
Previously, EcoPolitic already introduced its readers to the sorting rules of other types of waste.
