This would not be possible without the active participation and solidarity of all residents

Members of the Vinnytsia condominium association Stelmakha 11 have reduced heating costs by more than 40% by installing an individual heating point (IHP) and carrying out thermal modernization of their homes.

This was reported by the Energy Efficiency Fund.

In a few years, the residents have completely modernized their building. Thus, in 2021, thanks to participation in the state program "Energodom", they installed an IHS in the house. It allowed the condominium to regulate the temperature and heat metering. This has already resulted in significant savings.

The second step was thorough insulation of the building walls, which resulted in a significant reduction in heat loss. The amount of heating bills in the residents' bills has again decreased pleasantly.

"We are very proud that we managed to implement this project. We hope that our experience will become a model for other condominiums in Ukraine, because energy modernization is not only about cost savings, but also a comfortable future for everyone," says Lesya Hnatyuk, head of the Stelmaha 11 condominium.

The total cost of the project was UAH 3.6 million, of which UAH 2.5 million is a grant paid by the Energy Efficiency Fund, and UAH 1.1 million is the contribution of the co-owners of the building. The cost of work for one apartment (with an area of 60 m²) was UAH 26.46 thousand (or UAH 441/m²).

The energy auditor calculated that the reduction in energy consumption after thermal modernization will amount to 41.2%, and the corresponding annual cost savings for heating needs for the entire building will amount to UAH 261,000. He also calculated the annual reduction of CO2 emissions at the level of 220.4 t/year.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, a similar result was obtained by a condominium in the city of Yuzhne, Odesa region, saving almost 40% on heating. And at the beginning of May, EcoPolitics reported that in Zhytomyr HOUSEUM received UAH 4 million from the state for thermal modernization within the framework of the "Energodim" program.
