UAnimals volunteers tell how they help to save animals in Kharkiv region

They are engaged in evacuation, as well as providing food and treatment for those furries that remain near the zone of active hostilities

UAnimals, an all-Ukrainian organization that fights for animal rights and saves animals from the consequences of the war in Ukraine, has shared its daily work helping animals in Kharkiv region.

The activists published the list on their Telegram channel.

The animal rights activists said that they:

  • 20 horses were evacuated from Dergachy. They made it a few days before the Russians dropped an aerial bomb on the city.

  • Purchased and delivered 200 doses of rabies vaccine, treatment for animals and 19 carriers for the Kharkiv animal rescue group.
  • They bought a ton of fodder and are now sending it at the request of residents of the Kharkiv region.
  • Feed was distributed to residents on the ground during evacuation flights (about a ton in total).
  • They went on 3 evacuation flights and took out a total of 170 animals! They promised to go again.
  • 53 animals were sterilized in Kupyansk and Pokotylivka.

The volunteers thanked everyone who donates money to their gatherings and announced a number of other steps to help animals. Among them: payment for the treatment of animals, another evacuation flight and several flights to sterilize homeless furries.

In March, EcoPolitic reported that UAnimals activists announced the acceptance of applications for help with food for cats and dogs in the Sumy Oblast.
