The next goal is to collect 10 million caps for the purchase of 5 more unmanned aerial vehicles

Thanks to the Plastic Saves Lives project by the City of the Future NGO, volunteers managed to raise UAH 140,000 for an ambulance for the Armed Forces and UAH 156,000 for 3 UAVs for the Tsunami Regiment of the Luty Brigade.

Rubrika told about this useful initiative from any point of view.

The City of the Future NGO from Odesa, as part of its Plastic Saves Lives project, launched an initiative to collect all-Ukrainian caps, the money from which is used to help the Armed Forces. Volunteers from various charitable foundations and other concerned people also joined the initiative.

The first time, the activists managed to collect 11 tons (5.5 million caps) in 9 months. The 140,000 UAH raised from their recycling was used to purchase an ambulance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

And as part of the Plastic Saves Lives 2.0 collection, we collected 12 tons of caps in 7 months, which turned into about UAH 156,000. These funds were used to purchase 3 UAVs for the Tsunami Regiment of the Luty Brigade.

Currently, our defenders are in dire need of drones and drops, so the goal of the NGO within the current "Plastic Saves Lives 3.0" collection is to collect 20 tons of plastic. This is 10,000,000 caps or 240,000 UAH. The goal this time is 5 drones for the Tsunami Regiment.

In April, EcoPolitic reported that on Environment Day UAnimals volunteers removed 20 tons of garbage.

We also published photos and videos from the river cleaning eco-challenge in Kharkiv.
