"Maybe it's time to find the culprits and punish them? This is not someone dumping petroleum products into the lake from a canister, there is a whole current there," the report emphasized.

The community added that a similar incident occurred on the lake in 2021. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings, but the polluters could not be arrested.

Earlier EcoPolitic wrote, that eco-activist Artem Prykhodko said that in Kharkiv on February 15 they began effective cleaning of rivers from 3,000 tons of oil products, which got into the environment as a result of enemy shelling of an oil depot on February 9. It was possible to stop the spread of oil stains thanks to the simultaneous use of protective barriers and sorbents.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the general director of the "Kyivavtodor" company and the former head of one of Kyiv's operating departments were informed of the suspicion of land pollution, which caused damages of almost 300 million hryvnias. To the site, which was intended exclusively for collected snow, was taken various waste, in particular toxic.
