Birds and dolphins are dying en masse in the temporarily occupied Crimea near Sevastopol and Yevpatoria.

Local residents reported the ecological disaster, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel says.

In the published videos, two dead dolphins and three birds were filmed on a small part of the beach. Also, two dead birds were found on the beach near Peremogy Park.

"There are also many dead dolphins on the shore in Yevpatoria. Our subscriber took a photo of one of them and claims that there are many of them," said messages

It is noted that after the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression, the number of dead animals increased several times, which is confirmed by biologists.

"Marine animals die from water pollution with chemicals, acoustic injuries from explosions and the operation of sonar devices. Birds – mainly from water pollution", – said on the Telegram channel.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in May 2023, more than 77 dead dolphins were recorded in the Black Sea, in particular in the bays of Sevastopol and other coasts of the occupied Crimea.

Earlier, EcoPolitics talked to an ecologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences Ivan Rusev. He said that during the first year of the war, about 3,000 dolphins died in Ukraine, and 50,000 in the Black Sea in total.
