Residents of Mykolaiv's Vodopiy neighborhood complained about a stream with an unpleasant fishy odor that has been flowing down 2nd Naberezhna Street for about a month and entering the river through rainwater collectors.

People suspect that the stream was formed from the liquid waste of a canned fish factory, Novosti-N reports.

"One can only imagine what is in this waste from the production of fish products! All of this gets into the river unhindered," said one of the city's residents.

It is noted that in addition to polluting the river, people complain about the impact of the liquid on passing cars. It is very difficult to clean the effluent from the wheels and bottom of the car.

"All cars passing by, hitting a stream of stinking liquid, are doomed to the fact that their car will smell like dead fish for a couple of weeks, and then they will have to wash their car for a long time," the publication quoted residents' complaints on social networks.

It is noted that Novyn-N checked people's statements and visited this street. They have confirmed the presence of the creek and plan to contact the regulatory authorities. In addition, reconstruction works are being carried out on the street.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in December in Mykolaiv, eco-inspectors discovered oil pollution of the coast of the Buzki estuary in the Namiv microdistrict, the concentration of which exceeded the permissible standards by 6 times. Probably, the black foam on the coast was formed by soot from the asphalt plant.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Odesa region in Izmail at the bottom of a quarry near the garden and summer cooperative "Druzhba" at the beginning of January, a lake of white-green liquid, which has a pungent smell, formed.
