In Kryvyi Rih, the PM2.5 dust content reached 142 AQI

In Rivne, Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih, and Kodra in Kyiv region, air quality deteriorated to harmful levels on the morning of Friday, January 19.

The highest level of PM2.5 dust was recorded in Kodra, where its concentration reached 188 AQI on Tsentralna Street, according to the SaveEcoBot online air quality map.

Air quality monitoring stations also recorded harmful levels of dust for sensitive groups in the city:

  • Kryvyi Rih on Ivan Avramenko Street, 5 – 142;
  • Kropyvnytskyi on Fortechny Street, 1 – 120;
  • Rivne on Kopernyka Street, 42 – 103.

During the deterioration of air quality, experts advise limit being outside, especially for children, pregnant women, the elderly and those with respiratory system diseases.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the first state monitoring of atmospheric air station was installed in Konotop within the limits of the "Sumska" zone, which will allow you to monitor air quality around the clock. The station will record air temperature, humidity, pressure, content of nitrogen oxides, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, PM2.5 and PM10 dust.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, four cities of Kyiv region, namely Bila Tserkva, Kyiv, Ukrainka and Brovary, were included in the with exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations of nitrogen dioxide in the first half of 2023.
