In 2024, the global growth of electric vehicle sales is expected to reach 25-30%

A report by the research company Rho Motion showed that in 2023, sales of all-electric and hybrid cars worldwide increased by 31% to 13.6 million.

In 2022, this figure reached 60%, reports the Hindustan Times with reference to Reuters.

"Growth is slowing down, but that's to be expected in these growth markets," said Rho Motion data manager Charles Lester. "You can't double numbers every year."

He highlighted that global sales of electric vehicles in 2023 were largely in line with Rho Motion's forecast of 30%. It is expected that in 2024, the global growth of sales of electric vehicles will reach 25-30%.

It is noted that after years of increasing sales of electric vehicles, automakers fear that sales in Europe and other countries may slow down. After all, drivers will expect better, smaller and cheaper models that will appear in a few years.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in 2022, electric car sales worldwide will increase to about 10% of the total market, thanks to significant growth in China and Europe.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in October, Ukrainians bought 4,493 new and used electric cars, which is 4.5% more than in September.
