It is necessary to pay the eco-tax for the 3rd quarter by November 20

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, polluting enterprises have paid 521.2 million hryvnias in environmental tax since the beginning of 2023.

Revenues from the eco-tax increased by 110.5 million hryvnias compared to the same period in 2022, reports the Head Office of the DPS in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

It is noted that 366 million hryvnias have been paid to the state budget from the total amount of eco-tax. 155.2 million hryvnias were transferred to the local budget.

"The last day for submitting the environmental tax declaration for the third quarter of 2023 is November 9, 2023, the tax must be paid by November 20 of the current year," the press service emphasized.

The message emphasized that the right not to charge and not pay the eco-tax for 2022 and 2023 was granted to:

  • in the territories of active hostilities or temporarily occupied;
  • for objects of taxation on land plots contaminated, or recognized as potentially contaminated, by explosive objects.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Metinvest group of mining and metallurgical companies paid 302 million UAH of environmental taxes to the state and local budgets in the first half of 2023.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the Zaporizhzhia region polluting enterprises have paid 232.8 million hryvnias in environmental tax since the beginning of 2023. The local budget received 31.2 million hryvnias.
