The territory of the spit is littered with household waste and polluted with sewage

Eco-inspectors conducted an inspection on the Great Ukrainian, or Chilova, spit in the regional landscape park "Tyligulsky" in the Mykolaiv region, which has become a popular vacation spot in the summer.

The administration of the park allowed a significant anthropogenic load, as well as pollution and clogging of the territory, the State Environmental Inspection of the South-West District reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the inspection was carried out after a collective appeal by citizens.

Eco-inspectors found that waste water accumulators and structures for receiving and disinfecting liquid waste were placed on the coastal protective strip. The territory is littered with household waste, as well as polluted with sewage.

In the message, it was emphasized that DEI experts found violations of four articles of Law 2456-XII "On the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine", namely Art. 7, 8, 23, 60.

It is noted that the eco-inspectors have calculated the damages from the clogging of the landscape park, but their amount has not been specified.

"In order to eliminate the detected violations, the inspection issued an order, and a protocol was drawn up against the head of the park under Article 91 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, the press service said. "Currently, the administrative proceedings have been submitted to the court."

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Mykolaiv region in the regional landscape park "Tyligulskyi" Chilova Kosa has been turned into a popular recreation spot and built by the MAF. Every weekend, hundreds of people in hundreds of cars, which were parked in the middle of the protected steppe, came to the nesting places of red-listed birds, habitats of animals and plants. ATV riding was also organized on the spit. The editors of EcoPolitic spoke with environmentalists from the kitesurfing community, who told the details of the scandal.
