The Russians are systematically shelling the enterprise during 2022-2023

In Donetsk region, the Russians launched two rocket attacks on the territory of the Avdiiv coke-chemical plant, as a result of which warehouses with naphthalene burned down.

This was reported by head of the Avdiyiv City Military Administration Vitaliy Barabash, reports Suspilne Donbas on Telegram.

According to Barabash , there were no human casualties.

People's deputy Musa Magomedov said that the fire engulfed the scrubbers of the trapping workshop.

He also assumed that the Russians would declare the destruction of the ammunition depot, which in fact was never on the territory of the plant.

As you know, AKHZ is the largest coke chemical enterprise in Europe. In 2022-2023, the Russians systematically bombarded the enterprise from "Hradiv". Among other destructions, the Avdiyiv coke plant was damaged coke, tar and coal preparation shops, as well as warehouses.

Earlier, Ecopolitic wrote, that General Director of the Center for Ecology and Development, Vladyslav Antipov, said that there are two tailings storage facilities near the Avdiiv Coke Plant. Their destruction poses a threat to the entire water system of the region, due to the ingress of toxic substances into rivers and groundwater.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, an extremely difficult humanitarian situation, close to disaster, has developed in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region. Garbage is not taken out in the cities and water supply is systematically turned off, and an influx of rats has occurred due to unsanitary conditions.
