In the Mykolaiv Oblast, damages from air pollution due to a fire at a landfill in the Voznesensky district reached 2.4 million hryvnias
This became the most high-profile violation of environmental legislation during the week from September 1 to 7, the State Environmental Inspection reports on Facebook.
It is noted that the landfill uses municipal enterprise "Sanitary cleaning of the city". Eco-inspectors sent a report of a criminal offense to the police.
The report said that large-scale environmental violations were also discovered in Zakarpattia and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Thus, eco-inspectors calculated 1.3 million hryvnias for felling 13 trees in the regional landscape park "Prytisyanskyi", near the village of Vylok. A corresponding claim was presented to the Vynohradiv City Council and the case materials were sent to the prosecutor's office.
In addition, DEI experts calculated more than 1 million hryvnias in damages for the felling of 104 trees in the field protection forest strip near Zaporizhzhia. The case materials were handed over to the police.
It is noted that from September 1 to 7, eco-inspectors carried out 132 control measures and drew up 219 protocols on administrative offenses. The total amount of imposed fines amounted to 100 thousand hryvnias, 79 thousand hryvnias were charged to the state budget.
The press service added that:
- 5.6 million damages were calculated for violating the requirements of environmental protection legislation;
- the total amount of submitted claims and lawsuits reaches 2.6 million hryvnias;
- 2.1 million hryvnias in damages were collected voluntarily and forcibly.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Mykolaiv region due to arson on August 20 and 22, a fire destroyed 48 hectares of the protected tract "Andriivske". Damages from the fire reached 128.5 million UAH.
