People's deputies will consider 2 draft laws regarding which the ecocommittee is designated as the main one

On Thursday, August 3, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 11:00 a.m.

People's deputies will consider draft law No. 6004-d "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health" (second reading), for which the ecocommittee is designated as the main one.

The document will be considered in accordance with part six of Article 118 of the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada. The regulation stipulates that the main committee can consider at its meeting proposals (amendments) of committee members, prepared taking into account the conclusions of the legal examination and editorial work on comments to the draft law. The document must be prepared for a second reading or repeated second reading.

Draft Law No. 6004-d provides for the modernization of all existing industrial facilities and reform in the field of industrial pollution.

In addition, the People's Deputies will consider draft law No. 8223 "About amending some laws of Ukraine regarding the protection of people from the effects of ionizing radiation ” in respect of which the eco-committee is also designated as the main one.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that on May 29, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading draft law No. 6004-d "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health", which provides for the reform of industrial pollution.
