Eco-inspectors sent a statement to the National Police

In Mykolaiv, in the Ingul district, on the banks of the Ingul River, a spontaneous landfill of household waste and old furniture was formed on an area of ​​155.43 m2.

The total volume of waste reached 380.8 m3, and the amount of damage from the blockage – 79.8 thousand hryvnias, the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the violations were discovered thanks to the appeal of concerned citizens. Eco-inspectors surveyed the area and confirmed the river bank was blocked.

The message emphasized that the eco-inspectors sent letters to the Mykolaiv City Council and the Administration of the Ingul District to clean up the landfill.

"Since the actions of unknown persons who committed littering and arbitrary occupation of land resources show signs of a crime, the inspectorate sent a statement to the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region," the press service said.
