The Cabinet of Ministers also approved the Procedure for Keeping the State Register of Oil and Gas Wells

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Procedure for maintaining the State Register of Pesticides and Agrochemicals.

This will make it possible to effectively collect and unify data on pesticides and agrochemicals registered in Ukraine, as well as provide free access to such information, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strelets reported on Facebook.

"We are abandoning the outdated format of Excel tables, which are updated manually. Instead, we are moving to a modern format of digital data that is updated automatically, on a single resource," he emphasized.

The shooter said that the registry will allow:

  • strengthen control and prevent unauthorized drugs from entering the territory of Ukraine;
  • speed up procedures for importing and registering pesticides and agrochemicals for importers.

He emphasized that from now on farmers will have constant free access to reliable information. So they will be able to independently check the data on the active substance of the drug, its safety, methods of use and limitations, etc., on the EcoSystem platform.

The shooter added that the government also approved Procedure for maintaining the State Register of Oil and Gas Wells. This is one of the regulatory acts necessary to complete the reform of the subsoil use industry.

According to him, this will make it possible to carry out a complete accounting of all existing oil and gas wells in Ukraine, create a single database of digital data and open them to business and the public. This will help:

  • the state – to analyze the state of the mineral and raw material base and prevent illegal extraction of hydrocarbons;
  • the oil and gas industry – to obtain the necessary information for activity planning and assessment of prospects;
  • public – control the use of subsoil.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a number of environmental regulations, including the draft law "On amendments to article 2 of the Law of Ukraine "On scrap" and Draft Law No. 9470 "On amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding the improvement of issues on the protection and use of animal and plant life".
