In Transcarpathia, the court decided to collect 7 million hryvnias from the Yasinyan Forestry for illegal felling of trees.

The forestry department allowed the destruction of trees on the territory of one of the controlled forestry companies, the State Environmental Inspection in Zakarpattia region reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the court decision has already entered into legal force and now the forest farm will have to compensate for the damage caused.

"Work in this direction continues, one of the main tasks of the State Environmental Inspection in Zakarpattia Oblast is to expose environmental violations and fill the state budget," the press service emphasized.

Criminals destroyed 363 trees in the Veliko Dobron territorial community.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the specialized environmental prosecutor's office of the Zakarpattia region informed two ex-employees of the Irshava forest farm on suspicion of official negligence, which caused serious consequences. In 2020-2021, they admitted illegal mass felling trees, which caused damages of over 50 million hryvnias.
