Vinnytsia continues the transition to a green economy

A new enterprise of the pulp and paper industry will appear in Vinnytsia, where waste paper will be processed into paper pulp, from which cardboard containers are made.

Investors have already started the process of drawing up documents for the implementation of the project, Mayor Serhiy Morgunov reported on Facebook.

He said that the new enterprise will be opened in the industrial zone on Energetichnaya street. Its area will reach 11.5 thousand m2.

"When a few years ago we built a new road on Gonta Street and Energetichnaya Street, we understood that it would give a boost to business activity. Today we see the results. These are new enterprises and workplaces," said Morgunov.

He also emphasized that Vinnytsia remains an investment-attractive city and continues the transition to a green economy.

"Step by step, together with business, we are creating a basis for the restoration of the country and the development of the community after our victory," added the mayor.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Vinnytsia city-territorial community was the first in Ukraine to announce the Green course within the framework of the European "green" course. The corresponding declaration was signed on January 28, 2022.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the concept of the municipal industrial park Sygnivka was presented in Lviv, which is designed to transform an abandoned industrial zone into a center of logistics and production.
