Eco-activists have already removed 90 tons of garbage from the river in 2021

In the Kharkiv Region, on the banks of the Uda River, eco-activists discovered a new spontaneous dump of plastic bottles, beverage cans and other garbage.

Eco-activists have repeatedly held the "Clean Udy" action, but residents of the village of Babai continue to throw garbage near the river, eco-activist Artem Prykhodko reports on Facebook.

The message caused indignation among users of the social network. People noted that eco-activists made a lot of effort to clean the river, and the locals were "lazy" to take the garbage with them and throw it in the trash.

As you know, in 2021 Prykhodko organized the "Clean Udy" campaign, during which 13 Sabbath workers were held. During this time, they removed 90 tons of garbage from the river. 60-70 people joined the event.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that November 2022 marked the first anniversary of the Trash Killer garbage collector on the Uda River in Kharkiv. During this time, it was possible to clear the river of more than 30 tons of garbage.

As Ecopolitic previously reported, activists installed Ukraine's first garbage collector on the Uda River in Kharkiv, which has a telling name — Trash Killer ("trash killer").
