In Kherson, the police rescued a dog that was tied to a detour in the middle of the ruins near a huge funnel from a Russian missile.

The owners of the dog evacuated a long time ago, as did the neighbors who were supposed to take care of the animal, the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region reports.

The press service said that the guardians of the dog left Kherson when their house was destroyed.

"We found the dog while inspecting the homes of Kherson residents damaged after the shelling by Russian troops. He was sitting tied up in his yard, and there were terrible ruins around him. The fluffy one miraculously survived," said Oleg Martaloga, deputy chief of the Rozdilnya district police department.

The press service said that the police took the dog home and named it Black. With good care and a sensitive attitude, the dog quickly recovered from stress and became cheerful.

The authors added that when the dog's owners found out that he was with the police, they came and took him with them.

"For Ukrainians, every life is priceless," the message said.

As EcoPolitiс previously reported, police officer Oleg Neborak from Mariupol, with the help of volunteers, searched for and returned his dog Ben, who was separated from him by the war for 9 months.
