Reuse communities can be organized independently

Eco-activists urged Ukrainians to put unnecessary things in recycling cabinets and share them through groups on social networks.

After all, goods that are still suitable for use often end up in landfills, for example, in the city of Lubotyn, Kharkiv region, 20% of garbage is just such things, reports the Kharkiv Zero Waste community on Facebook.

The authors emphasized that reuse cabinets will help to partially solve the problem of throwing away usable things and other goods. However, you should not rely only on them.

"Today, there is an opportunity for reuse thanks to the many groups on social networks dedicated to the reuse of things," they emphasized.

Eco-activists also called on Ukrainians to be proactive and create reuse communities on their own, if they do not already exist in the community.

"You will be surprised how many like-minded people will be found in your community," they said. Recently, more and more people are trying to declutter their homes from unnecessary things. Now is a great opportunity to build new habits and help others.”

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Lubotyn, in the Kharkiv region, eco-activists will open reuse cabinets (reuse), where people can leave unnecessary things and pick up something for their needs.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, residents of Lutsk were called give for reuse unnecessary clothes, children's toys, shoes, etc. Such things in good condition will be given by volunteers to people who need them, and the rest will become raw materials for bags, pillows and other crafts.
