The comic should draw the attention of young people to the problems of ecocide in Ukraine

In Ukraine, a comic book was created about the environmental crimes of Russia during the war, as part of the enWAR_mental project.

It consists of 15 pages, which the author Yaryna Katorozh drew by hand, reports Eko.Rayon on Facebook.

The organizers of the project plan to translate the comic into English and German and distribute it in university libraries.

The painting tells the story of 15-year-old Yurk and 7-year-old Myroslava from Kyiv. Children seek refuge from the war in villages near the city. They see with their own eyes the burned forests, the tortured animals in the Kharkiv Ecopark, the damage caused to the protected areas of the Kherson region, the waters of the Donetsk region and the Luhansk region.

The article noted that the founder of the enWAR_mental project Natalya Yaroshenko, while working in Germany, noticed that students show minimal interest in serious problems. She believes that the comic will draw the attention of the youth of Ukraine to the problems of ecocide.

"We want to influence the youth, so that they can spread their influence exactly where they are, because now there are many young people abroad. And very often young people from other parts of the world do not understand the scale of the disaster," Yaroshenko emphasized.

As EcoPolitic reported before, ecologist and public figure Oleksiy Vasyliuk said that the Russian army is destroying the environment of Ukrainians, because all living things cannot survive in conditions of explosions, fires and pollution by chemical substances.
