Animal rights activists from the humanist movement UAnimals filed a complaint with the National Police against a 12-year-old girl from the Rivne region, who is cruel to homeless cats, mocking and killing them on camera.

The juvenile animal shared a video of abuse on her Telegram channel, which it deleted after publicity, UAnimals reported on Facebook.

Animal rights activists learned about this from social networks and appeals from concerned citizens.

In her posts on social networks, the girl describes her intention and desire to kill the cat.

"We have written a statement to the National Police of Ukraine to conduct an inspection and, if there are grounds, to prosecute parents or guardians for failure to fulfill their responsibilities in raising children," animal rights activists said.

They also called on adults to teach children to treat animals humanely and to explain how to properly treat them.

"Every life is important, and killing for entertainment is unacceptable," the message emphasized.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Chernivtsi region of an eighteen-year-old boy sentenced to 5 years in prison for cruel treatment of a peacock and his death. However, the perpetrator will not go to prison if he successfully completes the 2-year probationary period.
