Examination materials and calculations are being prepared for transfer to law enforcement agencies.

In the Zhytomyr region, in the forest of the Dvoryshchensk village council, eco-inspectors discovered the illegal felling of 286 trees of various species, which caused damage to the environment of more than 1.8 million hryvnias.

Trees were destroyed on an area of ​​about 3.2 hectares, the State Inspectorate of Polissky District reports on Facebook.

Violations were discovered thanks to a request from the Khoroshiv settlement council, which is located in the neighborhood of the Dvorishche settlement.

The attackers destroyed:

  • 79 aspen;
  • 165 birches;
  • 26 alders;
  • 3 oaks;
  • 5 hornbeams;
  • 2 bird-cherry trees;
  • 2 buckthorn;
  • 3 pears;
  • 1 mountain ash.

Eco-inspectors calculated such damages after surveying the forest and measuring the discovered stumps. They prepare survey materials and calculations for transfer to law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that black loggers near the village of Ocheretyanka in the Zhytomyr region stolen 137 trees, which caused losses in the amount of 1.7 million hryvnias. Violations were discovered by eco-inspectors during raids.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the city of Dunaivtsi in the Khmelnytskyi region, the illegal felling of five trees of various species was discovered in a protective forest strip, which caused damage in the amount of 36.4 thousand hryvnias. The violation became known thanks to a local resident.
