In the Mykolaiv region, repeated shelling by russian troops of the State Enterprise Mykolaiv Forestry caused large-scale fires that caused environmental damage in the amount of more than 111 million hryvnias.
Due to the fires, a large amount of harmful substances got into the air, the State Inspectorate reports on Facebook.
Eco-inspectors of the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions processed the data and calculated the amount of damage caused by atmospheric air pollution by unorganized emissions of pollutants or a mixture of such substances.
The case materials were handed over to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine and the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
It was noted in the material that, due to shelling by russian troops, the fire damaged the territories of the nature reserve fund of the national nature park Kreminski lisy, the hydrological reserve of local importance Kreminski Kaptazhi and part of the Luhansk nature reserve Tryochizbensky Steppe. The amount of damages is 38,364,197,367 hryvnias.
