Police have already opened a criminal case

In the village of Muzychi, Bucha district, Kyiv region, dealers cast their eyes on the forest and in mid-June came to cut it down.

This was announced by the director of the Ukrainian Health Center (UHC) Iryna Nemyrovych on her own facebook page .

"To whom is the war, and to whom as always. A week ago, some cunning dealers came to cut down the forest. The same one who reliably protected the village from the [enemy's] attack (he was stopped a few kilometers from here)," Nemirovich said on June 23.

According to her, during the week the illegal felling was justified under the guise of various legends - from ordinary (referring to the wrong permits and calling the trees "sick") to completely daring.

Nemirovich noted that the police were called three times. In addition, the site is regularly visited by territorial defense, and locals are on duty and drive equipment.

It came to the point that Iryna Nemyrovych's mother, the head of a local public organization that writes statements from the community to all instances, was threatened with physical violence.

At the same time, the village elders are indifferent, and the head of the Belogorodskaya united territorial community, Anton Ovsienko, is also not very helpful in resolving the story, the activist shared.

Under the publication in the comments, she added that the police have already opened a criminal case.

Social network users have expressed outrage that "disgusting things are being done under the guise of difficult times." "Covering with dugouts is worse than looting," commentators wrote.

Before EcoPolitics reported that on June 20 the Government of Ukraine adopted in the second reading bill №5650 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts Concerning Forest Conservation".
