Arson of dry grass is punishable by law

In the Lviv region, on June 22, rescuers eliminated 8 fires in ecosystems, which destroyed more than 4.7 hectares of dry grass and shrubs.

Ukrainians are urged to stop burning dryness, according to the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies in Lviv region on Facebook.

Dry fires were recorded in Chervonohrad district (villages of Silets, Rokety), Yavoriv (Zaluzhzhya and Zeliv) and Lviv (Synkovychi) districts, as well as in the cities of Rava-Ruska, Drohobych and Dobromyl.

Rescuers stressed that Ukraine has a ban on dry burning.

Arson of dry grass is punishable by a fine:

  • for citizens from UAH 3,060 to UAH 6,120;
  • for officials UAH 15,300 to UAH 21,420.

“Remember that only conscious behavior and strict observance of fire safety rules will help to avoid unpleasant consequences. Take care of yourself and do not endanger others, "the SES said.

We will remind, rescuers in the Lviv region on June 18 put out fires twice, who arranged firebugs of land.

As EcoPolitics reported earlier, rescuers extinguished in Ukraine in a day more than 50 fires in ecosystems where the fire destroyed vegetation on almost 18 hectares.
