There is a danger of cholera bacilli entering the sea

The Russian aggressors who invaded Mariupol resumed the work of three pump stations in the city. Since the sewer does not work, an ecological disaster can occur.

Petr Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, warned about the threat of deterioration of the ecological situation in the besieged Mariupol on the air of the informational telethon.

"The invaders launched three pumping stations in Mariupol. Water will not be available in all districts of the city and not above the first floor," the mayor's adviser said.

Andryushchenko stressed that this is technical water and we should not forget that the sewer collector is not working in the city now.

According to him, the used water from the buildings will end up in the already clogged sewer, the treatment equipment does not work, so the dirty water will be poured onto the streets and, since it is technically possible, it can be dumped into the sea. Therefore, there is a danger of cholera bacilli entering the sea.

In addition, as Andryushchenko said, Russian propagandists are preparing a possible excuse in the event of a cholera bacillus falling into the sea about supposedly "chemical laboratories in Ukraine."

Before EcoPolitica reported that as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation part of the sewage treatment plant in settlements where hostilities continue, destroyed or damaged.
