People's deputies will consider draft law No. 6004-2 "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health"

On Thursday, December 22, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 12:00 a.m.

People's deputies will consider the documents for which the eco-committee is designated as the main one:

  • draft law No. 6004 "On integrated prevention and control of industrial pollution";
  • draft law No. 6004-1 "On prevention, reduction and control of pollution arising as a result of industrial activity";
  • draft law No. 6004-2 "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health";
  • Draft Law No. 8223 "On amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding the protection of humans from the impact of ionizing radiation", subject to the opinion of the Chief Scientific Expert Department of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus;
  • Draft Law No. 8257 "On amendments to the Code of civil protection of Ukraine regarding the material and technical support of activities in the field of civil protection", subject to the conclusion of the National Security Service of Ukraine.

The committee should submit its proposals to:

  • draft law No. 0178 "On the accession of Ukraine to the Agreement on port state measures to prevent, deter and eliminate illegal, unaccountable and unregulated fishing";
  • draft law no 8261 "On amendments to the law of Ukraine "On local State administrations" regarding the specifics of the appointment and dismissal of heads of institutions, enterprises and organizations of the central executive body that implements state policy in the field of civil protection."

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Committee of the VRU on Energy and Housing and Communal Services recommended that the Parliament adopt in the second reading and as a whole draft law No. 4527 on increasing energy efficiency in energy production.
