People's deputies will discuss the results of an away meeting in the Kherson region

On Tuesday, June 20, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 11:30 a.m.

EcoPolitic has prepared the agenda of the committee for its readers.

People's deputies will consider the government draft law No. 8410 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Environmental Impact Assessment" (second reading), in respect of which the eco-committee is designated as the main one.

In addition, the eco-committee must submit its proposals to:

  • Draft Law No. 0208 "On the Ratification of the Convention on Safety in the Use of Chemical Substances in Production No. 170";
  • Draft Law No. 9218 "On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine for the purpose of protecting the property pights of the Ukrainian people";
  • draft law No. 9372 "About making changes to the Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine regarding the peculiarities of proceedings in cases based on appeals of the central executive body, which implements state policy in the field of geological study and rational use of subsoil ".

People's deputies will also consider issues of:

  • implementation of state climate policy in Ukraine ;
  • the results of the on-site meeting of the Committee on June 12, 2023 to the Kherson region;
  • personal composition of the sub-committees of the eco-committee .

Earlier, Ec oPolitic wrote, that on June 12, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management held an on-site meeting in Kherson Oblast to overcome the negative impact on the environment and the population's livelihood system as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
