On Wednesday, September 4, a meeting of the Servant of the People faction was held, at which deputies decided on ministerial candidates for vacant positions in the government. They put forward Svetlana Grinchuk as the head of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

This was announced by the head of the faction David Arakhamia in Telegram.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy joined the development of the overall picture of personnel rotations in the Cabinet.

Currently, Svitlana Hrynchuk holds the position of Deputy Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko and is the Director of the Reform Support Office under the department. It is worth noting that the US Agency for International Development USAID praised the effectiveness of its work in implementing reforms in this position.

If Svitlana Grynchuk is appointed head of the Ministry of Environment, she will return to her usual element: in 2022-2023, she was the deputy minister of environment protection and natural resources of Ukraine for European integration.

The official is an expert in the field of energy, climate change and environmental protection with experience of working in the Government of Ukraine (Secretariat of the CMU, Ministry of Environment), international financial institutions (World Bank), international technical assistance projects (GIZ, USAID) and participation in negotiations within the framework of the UN.
